Rayson SMS non-woven production line was successfully put into production

Medical non woven fabric is becoming more and more popular after Covid 19. During epidemic time, Rayson has set up the production lines for making SMS non woven fabric and meltblown non woven fabric. SMS consists of continuous 100% polypropylene (PP) threads arranged at random and thermally welded by a calendering process, or Spunlaid thermobonded method, plus a meltblown layer and then another of spunbonded polypropylene. The width our machine is 2.4m. We can slit the rolls into different size.  

SMS is a high coverage nonwoven fabric. Its low weight, high longitudinal and transversal strength and soft feel make it suitable for use in the medical and hygiene industry. It can be given special treatments to give it certain properties (hydrophilic, anti-bacterial, oil-repellent, alcohol-repellent and blood-repellent).

SMS nonwovens are extensively used in the medical field. Since products manufactured from these materials are single-use and are incinerated after use, the spread of contaminants is reduced due to minimized handling.

• Drapes, wraps and packs

• Underpads Sponges, dressings and wipes
